Ann Curry

Ann Curry, an American journalist and photojournalist who has covered wars as well as natural disasters over the past 45 years. Her focus is on the plights of those in these areas. Curry covered wars in Kosovo, Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in the city of the city of Agana) was an American anchor, television reporter and journalist. Most famously, she was as a correspondent on the Today Show, a popular morning news program that was broadcast by National Broadcasting Co. Curry is well-known for her reporting of catastrophes caused by natural or human causes and natural disasters, particularly in countries that have been devastated by the war. Curry was born in Japan and was born to a Japanese mom. Her father served as an U.S. Navy sailor. Following World War II, her parents became acquainted when their father was in Japan. Because of her father's military duty, the family frequently moved. Curry was a student at the High School in Ashland Oregon. She graduated with a journalism diploma from the University of Oregon in 1978. She is likely to have learned to communicate with empathy thanks to the exposure she received to different cultures throughout her life. In the following years, she worked as anchor/reporter on KGW which was located in Portland Oregon. Four years later she moved back to Los Angeles as a reporter for KCBS-TV. She won 2 Emmy Awards during the six years at the station.
